15. NOTICES

15.1 Every notice to be given to the Institute or the Council under the Rules shall be given to the Institute or the Council or the Secretary in accordance with clause 15.2 and receipt of any such notice by the Secretary shall be deemed to be receipt by the Institute or the Council.

15.2 Any notice to be given to the Institute or the Council under the Rules may be handed or posted to the Secretary or left at or posted to the Registered Office but no such notice shall be deemed to be received by the Institute or the Council until it is actually received by the Secretary or delivered to the Registered Office whichever occurs first.

15.3 No notice to the Institute or the Council shall have any effect until it has been received in accordance with clause 15.2.

15.4 A notice may be given by the Institute to a Member by:

15.4.1 handing it to the Member; or

15.4.2 sending it by post to the Member at the address given to the Institute by the Member for the giving of notices; or

15.4.3 delivery through the document exchange or post to the Member's place of business.

15.4.4 sending it by email to the Member at the email address given to the Institute by the member for the giving of notices.

15.5 Service of a notice on a Member by post or document exchange shall be deemed to have been effected on the third working day after the notice was posted.

15.6 Every Member shall advise the Institute in writing of any change in his or her address. All notices posted or delivered through the document exchange to the last address notified by a Member shall be valid, and service of the notice on the Member shall be deemed to have been effected on the third working day after the notice was posted in accordance with clause 15.5 of the Rules.
